Finally! After almost 2 months of waiting the Day of the WWE Draft is here! Now last nights episode of Monday Night Raw had some events that could impact tonights Draft. After the double pin between Ambrose and Rollins resulting in a draw, we are getting a rematch for the WWE Championship tonight on Smackdown Live! Last night we were also given the Rules for the Draft. Here they are:
Now the 2 most interesting Rules from these 4 is that Tag Teams count as one Draft Pick unless the General Manager of either brand only wants one member of the team, meaning they would be split up. And that 6 Draft Picks will be made off of the NXT Roster (YES! YES! YES!). So, with these rules in place, lets book The 2016 WWE Draft!
Monday Night Raw:
Commissioner: Stephanie McMahon
General Manager: Mick Foley
Monday Night Raw will receive the first Draft Pick of the night. If I were to book it, their first pick should be the WWE Champion, Dean Ambrose. Despite Stephanie hating him, I would have Mick Foley make the decision, without Stephanie being able to overrule it. This would allow Ambrose to mess with Stephanie, being the face of her Brand without her consent, Vintage Dean Ambrose! This would also cause tension between Foley and Stephanie.
Overall, RAW is going to have way more Superstars than Smackdown, there is no way around it. Having 3 hours to fill every week, you need a lot of talent to fill that time, while also having your Big Names to keep huge storylines going. I would draft Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles to RAW, as their big names. For Tag Teams I would bring The New Day and Gallows and Anderson. Then for the Womens Division on RAW, you'd need to have The Womens Champion Charlotte and Sasha Banks! For the Mid-Card, I would put The United States Championship on Raw (Rusev) and many fan favourites like Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn on Raw. Now I will be talking about the NXT Superstars later, don't worry, some of them will be on Monday Night RAW.
Smackdown Live:
Commissioner: Shane McMahon
General Manager: Daniel Bryan
I'm going to save some of the bigger names for Smackdown. We have the babyface Commissioner and General Manager, and its being considered the Underdog Brand. And with only 2 hours to fill, I don't want any filler on Smackdown. So with all these factors in place, Smackdown should beat RAW in the ratings easy, compared to their heel Commissioner and all the hate towards Roman Reigns from WWE fans all around the world, Smackdown should become the preferred Brand for the WWE fans.
Smackdown should receive the 2nd Draft Pick of the Night, and with Ambrose taken, I would bring The Face of The Company, John Cena to Smackdown. Now Smackdown will need more big names to get the ratings up, so I would also bring Seth Rollins and Randy Orton. Also if The Undertaker is going to be drafted tonight, I'd put him on Smackdown too. So for Tag Teams, I would bring Enzo and Big Cass (Do NOT split them up!) and The Wyatt Family. In the Womens Divison, I would pick Becky Lynch and Paige. Finally for the Mid-Card I would have The Intercontinental Championship on Smackdown (The Miz) and many other popular Superstars like Kevin Owens and Neville.
NXT Superstars:
I've saved the best for last, where will the 6 NXT Draft Picks end up? First we have to decide who is going to be called up from the NXT Roster. I have chosen the following Superstars to be brought up for the Brand Split:
Finn Balor
Shinsuke Nakamura
Tye Dillinger
American Alpha (Counts as 1 pick)
Bayley
Nia Jax
Monday Night Raw:
Starting with 'The Icon' of NXT, Finn Balor. I feel that it is only right for him to be thrown into The Club storyline with AJ Styles and Gallows and Anderson, so put him on RAW. Hopefully starting 'Balor Club', Finn would then kick AJ out, leading to a future feud between the two? Dream Match!?
I would also have Bayley on RAW. We can hope for a Sasha Banks heel turn and then a 2nd rivalry between the two, except now on the Main Roster! And finally, American Alpha. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are so over with the WWE Universe, they would fit right in on Monday Nights, and possibly being managed by a certain former WWE Superstar... More on that in a bit.
Smackdown Live:
The for Smackdown, we need to have the King Of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura! He would be a huge pick for Smackdown, and it would be amazing to see him feud with the likes of Kevin Owens.
Next, Nia Jax should go to Tuesday Nights. Just because RAW will be overloaded with the Womens Division, so she could make a name for herself on Smackdown, possibly feuding with Becky Lynch. And finally, The Perfect 10, Tye Dillinger. I can see this guy challenging for the Intercontinental Title, so why not bring him to Smackdown.
Returning Legends
I personally don't see many Legends returning for the WWE Draft. Despite the heavily rumoured return of Kurt Angle, he himself has said he is not returning for The Draft, so I don't think this one is possible but you never know. But one returning legend rumour that could be true is Goldberg. He is the Pre-Order Bonus for the upcoming video game WWE 2K17, so just like Sting and The Ultimate Warrior, we should see him in a WWE Ring in the near future.

Welcome To Book That WWE! (Booking RAW July 18th)
Hey! Welcome to Book That WWE, a WWE Fantasy Booking Website. This site is all about predicting the future of The WWE. Regular posting will begin July 19th, the day of The Return of the WWE Draft, when Smackdown goes live! I will put out a post a few hours before The Draft begins, and I will predict The Draft as best I can! I will not be dedicating a post to the July 18th edition of RAW. I will just do that on this post! I hope all of you enjoy reading this website as much as I will enjoy using it! Be sure to check back here before WWE Events start! See you soon!
BOOKING WWE RAW (JULY 18th 2016)
So on this weeks edition of Monday Night Raw, Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon will be naming their respective General Managers for their own brand. Last week on RAW, Shane was given control of Smackdown and Stephanie was given control of RAW, by their father Vince McMahon!
So if I was to book it, Shane McMahon would be naming one of the most loved former WWE Superstars, Daniel Bryan, as his General Manager for Smackdown. Bryan has been missed by the WWE Universe since his shock retirement in February 2016, and it would be fantastic to see him back. Bryan also hasn't been away from WWE in recent time, as he joined Mauro Ranallo on commentary for the WWE Cruiserweight Classic.
For RAW, I would book Stephanie to pick her husband, The Game, Triple H, as her General Manager of RAW. Even though this one is very predictable, it would make things interesting, as in it could possibly lead to a Dream Match at Summerslam between Triple H and Shane McMahon! But I do think that many WWE fans will be upset at this decision, as huge names like Eric Bischoff and Kurt Angle, were rumoured to return to take on the roll as General Manager.
Also on this weeks episode of Monday Night RAW, Dean Ambrose will be defending his WWE Championship against Seth Rollins. This one is hard to book, as there are so many possibilities if either man was to win. But if I was to book it, I would have Ambrose drop the title to Seth Rollins, meaning Seth would be the face of the company leading into the Brand Split. This would enable Rollins to be the cocky, heel champion that he used to be, heading into the Shield Triple-Threat match at Battleground. Now the reason I am booking Dean to drop the title less than a month after he won it, is because he won the title on the night Roman Reigns lost it to Seth Rollins (Dean then cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase on Rollins). Two days after Roman lost the title, he was suspended for 30 days for failing a Drugs Test. So I think that the only reason Reigns lost the title is because he had already failed the Drugs Test, meaning WWE would have the take the title off of him, giving it to a 'Transitional Champion' like Ambrose. So I can see Reigns having the title back after Summerslam, but as a heel.
Thank you for reading! And if you disagree with my booking or if you have anything you would change, please leave it in the comments below! I would love to hear your feedback.
